Archaeologists refer to two different structures as a four-poster . The first is a type of stone setting found uniquely within the British Isles. They date from the Bronze Age and, as the name suggests, usually consist of four stones.
Any bed with four high posts positioned at each corner. Originally, the posts were designed to support elaborate fabric curtains and upholstered treatments which totally enclosed the bed.

New Bed!!

I’d ordered this bed back in June last year (2008) and it finally arrived in December. I used to sleep in a single bed and now I am sleeping like a Queen! My cat loves it, too, as he has plenty of room to stretch without being squashed.
